The Borough of Highland Park and the Environmental Commission have been awarded a Roots for Rivers Reforestation Grant from Sustainable Jersey/The Nature Conservancy. The grant will allow the Environmental Commission and Meadows Volunteers to plant 200 trees and shrubs in the flood plane section of the Meadows, which will increase the tree canopy and prevent soil erosion into the Raritan River.
