Bat Houses Installed at the Environmental Education Center
Highland Park Boy Scout, Jacob Kleinmann, installed 4 bat houses at the Environmental Education Center site, as part of his Eagle Scout project. The bat houses were installed on 16 foot cedar posts, with 2 sets of houses on each post, back to back. The bat houses are expected to provide a home for bats which live near the Center and the Raritan River. Bats provide very important environmental value in eating many types of insects.
